It's interesting to think about the differences in processes with the MAC platform and the PC platform. It appears that there is a lot more up-front work required before I can get to the actual work of creating a movie (at least in my version of Movie Maker). One reason that this is especially challenging for me is that I've discovered that it helps me to lay out the big picture of my vision of the movie before I go back and make specific decisions regarding transitions, titles, and other frills. This Gestalt approach seems much more difficult to manage on the PC. I found that I had to shift constantly between the storybook and timeline framework as well as zoom in and out to attend to the various parts and the whole simultaneously. That part was a bit frustrating.
The collaborative process of working with Brenda and Pat on the EDGE was lots of fun and enlightening!
